ABNA24 - Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday to discuss the latest diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a permanent end to the ongoing conflict.

Araghchi expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s constructive efforts in promoting peace. He briefed Fidan on the status of the recently established ceasefire, stating: "The Islamic Republic of Iran, with a responsible approach, accepted the ceasefire as a foundation for the complete termination of the war."

The Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized that achieving lasting stability and security is possible provided there is genuine seriousness on the U.S. side. He reiterated that the negotiations must be centered on Iran’s 10-point proposal as the agreed-upon framework.

Türkiye Supports Continued Diplomacy

For his part, Hakan Fidan commended the diplomatic initiatives led by the Iranian Foreign Minister and reaffirmed Türkiye’s support for ongoing diplomacy to reach a comprehensive settlement. He highlighted the necessity of establishing effective mechanisms to guarantee security and maintain long-term stability in the region.

Warnings Against Israeli Interference

A significant portion of the conversation focused on regional threats. Fidan warned of the "destructive role" played by the Israeli regime and called on all parties to remain vigilant against its plots designed to undermine the agreed-upon peace process.

Araghchi echoed these concerns, emphasizing Iran’s commitment to regional cooperation as the only path to sustainable security. He welcomed Türkiye's initiatives in this regard and urged all regional nations to stay alert to the Zionist regime's conspiracies aimed at sowing division and destabilizing the Middle East.
